Our People


 

The Northville Community Support Fund (NCSF) is managed by a board of 9 Directors including a chairperson. The Board of Directors are all volunteer and long-time Northville advocates for our community:  

 

Mark Knoth (Chairman)

A lifelong resident of Northville, Mark has lived in both the City and Township of Northville.  Mark and his wife Amy both graduated from the Northville Public Schools, as did their three children.  Mark has been involved in a number of charitable causes, including previously serving as President of the Northville Educational Foundation, and currently serving as a Director of The Kiefer Foundation, which seeks bringing an end to distracted driving.  Mark became involved with the NCSF in hope of helping the Northville community continue to be a great place to live.  Mark has been practicing law as a management-side labor and employment law attorney for over 30 years.  He is a shareholder with the Detroit-based law firm of Kerr, Russell & Weber, PLC, where he leads the firm's labor and employment practice group.

 

Robert Holshouser (Treasurer)

A corporate financial expert with widespread experience, working for or providing services to global manufacturing companies, supporting GM, Ford, Visteon, Toyota, A123 Systems, and others. Robert has been involved with the United Methodist Church community as a finance officer for many years.

 

Doug Szopo (Secretary)

Actively involved in the community through various groups. Before retirement, he was the head of Global Product Planning at Ford Motor Company and over a 45-year career had various operational leadership positions at Ford. Doug is keen to serve Northville and share his managerial, operational and logistical background for the benefit of our community.

 

Dave Gutman

Dave Gutman is currently serving on the Northville Sustainability Team, whose mission is to protect and enhance the natural and economic environment of our city. Mr. Gutman has 32 years of experience with Ford Motor Co., with extensive domestic and overseas work in the area of Sales & Marketing. He also serves as Co-Chair of the Mobility Network Team, dedicated to improving pedestrian safety and traffic flow in the City of Northville.  He has recently completed building a new home designed for net-zero energy use with LEED Platinum Certification.

 

Patti Mullen

For the past 32 years, Patti Mullen has been a successful Realtor and top producing agent for Remerica Hometown One, consistently selling over 100 homes annually.  Specializing in Northville, Novi and surrounding areas, Patti brings to the Board deep experience and knowledge of community needs and concerns.  She is a long-time resident of Northville, a member of the Northville Chamber of Commerce and notably, a huge supporter of the community and school system, sponsoring many local events and programs.     

 

Bill Stockhausen

Bill serves as Vice-President of the Northville Historical Society and has been a long-time advocate for the benefit of Northville history education.  He is a Mechanical Engineer and was a Research/Senior Technical Leader for Ford Motor Co.  He is currently the owner/operator of two historic hydroelectric generation plants.  He is active at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, has been a Boy Scout leader for 35 years, and has supported other groups and projects in the community.  Since 1972 Bill and his wife, Carole Jean, have raised five children and lived in and restored their 1884 Northville home.

 This board of directors will vote and prioritize community needs presented to them from a wide spectrum of groups, including our community leaders, our schools, the Mill Race historical society, local businesses as well as the DDA, Chamber of Commerce and individual citizens.
